Does micro-concrete crack?
No. Micro-concrete is designed not to crack; it's more flexible and thinner than traditional poured concrete and is applied in manual layers onto a solid core. It can withstand daily use, normal indoor temperature fluctuations, and minor impacts. Two layers of impregnation also protect it from stains from water, coffee, or wine.
Subtle surface irregularities are not a defect; they are part of the handcrafted nature of the material. Each piece is original and is expected to last for over twenty years.
How much does a concrete table weigh?
Significantly less than you would expect. Micro-concrete is 70% lighter than traditional concrete, so you can move and install a typical side table by yourself, with one hand. This is a fundamental difference from solid concrete, which usually requires two people to lift.
It is precisely this low weight that makes micro-concrete a practical material for furniture and for wall-mounted (floating) pieces, maintaining a stone-like appearance without burdening the floor or wall.
How long does it last?
We expect a lifespan of over 20 years of normal use, and we provide a 24-month warranty on each piece. The material is designed to age gracefully, not to be replaced after a few years.
